INTERIOR APARTMENT MAKEOVER

Spot The Colour provided project management for this apartment makeover - inlcuding adding new skirting boards, window frames, new door handles providing electrician for new lighting and of course painting throughout using Dulux Lexicon Quarter (flat for walls) and semi gloss enamel for woodwork.

Working with interior designer Angela Steyn from Angela Steyn and Co and her client, painted a small apartment living room in Woollahra that included a feature wall, walls and ceiling and existing timber shutter doors (from brown to white).  Room was beautifully transformed.

Starlight Children’s Foundation. Making a girls dream come true with a bedroom.

Sophie’s wish: 11 year -old Sophie has rarely known what it is like to live like other ‘normal’ girls her age.  She was born with a visual condition, a progressive deterioration of her sight.  As a result, she has never been able to participate in so many of the simple and  fun activities of growing up and just ‘being a kid’.  Despite this, Sophie is the bravest and most inspiring young person. She is such a bubbly and bright personality.Sophie’s Starlight wish was to have a bedroom makeover.  It would be her own space at home to escape the day to day reality.  Working with interior designer Deb De Jong & Dulux we to helped bring Sophie’s wish to life.  Deb met with Sophie and her family, inspected the site and put together the most incredible vision for the room.  Together we made her wish a reality!

I’ve always dreamed of having a clean, modernist home, and I’m happy to say that Alice and her team at Atelier Cohen led the way to making that dream a reality! I couldn’t be more happy with the project, my house looks like it could be featured in a Kinfolk magazine. I expressed my wishes of having a clean, natural interior aesthetic and they truly delivered – the natural light in my newly designed home is to die for. They also helped me turn my dated, drab living room into a spacious and cozy space in which I can’t wait to host a party. I had the pleasure of working with Alice on redecorating my childhood home that hadn’t been touched up since I was a teen in the 80’s. I knew it needed a huge refresh aesthetically, but I wasn’t sure where to start. The whole design process was so streamlined and thorough that my fears of things going awry totally vanished after the first few meetings.
